Terms of Service

The rules for using imgflylink. Short, and in plain language.

What this service is

imgflylink hosts images and gives you a link to them. It is free, it does not require an account, and you can choose how long each upload lives.

By uploading anything you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not upload.

What you may not upload

You must not upload anything that is illegal where the service is hosted or where you are, and in particular you must not upload:

  • Sexual content involving minors, in any form. This is reported to the authorities and the uploader is blocked permanently.
  • Pornographic or sexually explicit images, and graphic images of extreme violence or gore. imgflylink cannot check anyone's age or consent, so it does not host them.
  • Content you do not hold the rights to, or do not otherwise have permission to publish.
  • Images of other people shared to harass, threaten, expose or humiliate them, including private images shared without consent.
  • Content that incites violence or hatred against people on the basis of who they are.
  • Malware, phishing material, or images used as part of a scam.
  • Anything uploaded automatically and in bulk to use this service as free storage or as a content delivery network.

We remove anything in this list as soon as we know about it, without warning and without needing your agreement.

Who is responsible for what you upload

You are. We do not review uploads before they are published, and hosting an image is not an endorsement of it. Responsibility for having the right to share something, and for the consequences of sharing it, stays with the person who uploaded it.

Reporting something

If you find something here that breaks these rules, or an image of you that you did not agree to, tell us: Report abuse. Include the link. Reports about illegal content, and requests from the person shown in an image, are dealt with first.

Copyright complaints (DMCA)

If something hosted here uses your copyrighted work without permission, tell us through our Contact form, with "Copyright" in the subject. Include:

  • Your name and how to reach you (or your agent's, if you are acting for someone else).
  • What the copyrighted work is, and where the original can be seen.
  • The exact link on imgflylink (the /v/ page, or the direct image link) that you believe infringes it.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
  • Your signature, typed is fine.

A complete notice gets the file taken down promptly. An address that keeps generating valid notices gets blocked, the same as for anything else in the "what you may not upload" list.

If your own upload was removed this way and you believe that was a mistake, tell us the same way and explain why — we will pass a genuine counter-notice on to whoever filed the original complaint.

Limits

There are limits on file size, on how many images one upload can hold and on how much a single address can upload in an hour. They exist so that one client cannot take the service down for everyone, and they may change without notice.

Working around those limits — spreading an upload across addresses, or automating one — is a reason to be blocked.

No guarantees

This service is provided as it is, with no promise that it will be available, that your images will survive, or that a link will keep working. It is free, it is run without a contract with you, and it can be interrupted, changed or ended at any time.

Do not use this as the only copy of anything you care about. Keep your own.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from using the service, from something being unavailable, or from something someone else uploaded.

Removing your own images

Every upload comes with a delete link, shown once when the upload finishes. For an upload made without signing in it is the only proof of ownership there is, so keep it if you may want the image gone later.

If you no longer have it, ask through the report form and include the link to the image.

Removal by us

We can remove any image and block any address, at our discretion, without notice. We would rather explain why, and usually will, but we are not obliged to.

Privacy

What the site collects and what it does not is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

These terms can change. The date at the top says when they last did. Continuing to use the service after that date means the new version applies to you.
